Course Overview

In the post Covid-19 environment, emphasis in rapidly increasing on online customer engagement. Are you ready to transform your engagement to increase your online presence? Customer surveys find users are turned off from static web pages and drawn to messaging interfaces.  How do you go about defining a Conversation solution that goes beyond simple messaging.  

This course will describe a conversational use case which will be used in designing conversation experience. You will be designing various Conversational AI concepts like Entities, and Utterances. You will develop training data for each of these terms. We will also design usage scenario and associated dialog flows based upon chosen sophistication of Conversational AI engine.

We will extend the usage scenario to include two levels of conversation complexity and will develop solution components.

After completing this course, you will be able to

  • Design a conversational AI experience
  • Design/Train conversational AI – key concepts
  • Appreciate design differences across different types of conversational AI use cases

Neena Sathi is a principal at Applied AI Institute.  She has 30+ years of experience envisioning, designing, developing and implementing AI solutions associated with enhancing customer experience, back office automation and risk and compliance for many Fortune 100 organizations. She has worked as Director of AI Technologies at Carnegie Group, Inc, an AI startup, Accenture, KPMG, and IBM.

Neena has three masters degrees including MBA from leading US universities.  She is Master certified integration architect from IBM and Open Group as well as certified Project management professional (PMP) from Project management institute. She is also certified in many Cloud and Cognitive technologies. She has widely presented and published many papers in AAAI, IEEE, WCF, ECF, IBM Information on Demand, IBM Insight, World of Watson, IBM Developer Works and various academic journals.

Course Instructors will upload your project data into  their tool and will provide you back with a link showing a working demo.


Students will get a certificate of completion after successful completion of the final examination and Capstone project.
